Zuzana ChalupovÃÆ'á (Serbian: ????????????/Zuzana Halupova ; 1925-2001) is a Serbian naÃÆ'ïve a Slovakian painter, who was born and lived his whole life in the city of Kova ica, Serbia. His colorful painting paintings reminiscent of children's works and fairy-tale illustrations. He usually painted children, so he was called "Mama Zuzana with a thousand children". Its creative legacy consists of over 1,000 paintings.

Biography
ChalupovÃÆ'á finished only five elementary school classes. In the 1950s he began making scarves, shirts, and rugs with traditional motifs. After earning money from selling rugs, he bought oil paints and started painting on canvas. He painted his first oil on a canvas painting named Mla? Enje konoplja ( Hemp Beating ) in 1964. He enjoys an immediate success. He exhibited his paintings at the Museum of Naive Arts in Svetozarevo and at Kova ica during the "Kova? I? Ki oktobar" festival. His first solo exhibition was in 1968 in Dubrovnik where all his paintings were bought by foreign collectors.
Although he has never had a child of his own, the most frequent motif in the ChalupovÃÆ'á paintings is the children. Even adults (some with mustaches) look like children in his paintings. Other frequent motifs are winter, Kova ica church, and biblical themes.
ChalupovÃÆ'á makes many paintings for charity purposes. He painted a monumental painting for the International Committee of the Red Cross depicting children with members of the Red Cross. In 1978, he made a painting named Za? Titimo spomenike kulture ( Let's Protect the Cultural Heritage! ) for the Institute of Cultural Monument Protection of Serbia. The painting depicts Gra? Nica monastery, Pobednik statue, Serbian Orthodox priest with children in traditional Slovak costume and God watches all this from the sky. In 1974, ChalupovÃÆ'á created a painting for UNICEF headquarters named Children of the UN , full of symbols: Illustrated Earth, UNICEF headquarters, and the Statue of Liberty surrounded by children and angels with olive branches.. In the same year, his painting Zima ( Winter ) was printed by UNICEF's Christmas card program in two million copies.
Many of his paintings are on permanent display at Art Gallery Naive Kova? For its accomplishment, Matica slovenskÃÆ'á is decorated ChalupovÃÆ'á with the order of Cyril and Methodius.
