Azure is a variation of blue, often described as the color of the sky on a sunny day.

On the RGB color wheel, "blue" (hexadecimal # 007FFF) is defined as the color at 210 degrees, the hue between blue and cyan. In the RGB color model, used to make all the colors on a television screen or computer, blue is made by adding a little green light to the blue light. The complementary color of blue is orange.

In the X11 color system that became standard for the initial web color, blue was described as a pale cyan or cyan white.

Etimologi

The blue color finally takes its name from the intense blue layer of blue lazuli. Layers is the Latin word for "rock" and l? zul? is the genitive form of Latin Medieval l? zulum , taken from the Arabic ?????? l? zaward , own from Persian language ?????? l ?? award , which is the name of the rock in Persia as well as from a place where lapis lazuli is mined.

The name of the stone is associated with its color. French azur , Italian azzurro , Polish idlers , Romanian azur and azuriu , Portuguese and Spanish azul , Hungarian azÃÆ'ºr , and Catalan atzur , all from the name and color of lapis lazuli.

The word was adopted into English from French, and the first recorded use as the color name in English was in 1374 in the work of Geoffrey Chaucer, Troilus and Criseyde, in which he referred to "a broche, gold and asure .i> "(brooch, gold and blue).

Azure also explains the azurite mineral color, both in its natural form and as a pigment in various paint formulations. To maintain a deep color, azurite is roughly ground. Subtle Azurite produces lighter colors and washable. Traditionally, pigments are considered unstable in oil paint, and are sometimes isolated from other colors and are not mixed. The modern inquiry of the old paintings, however, shows that pigments are very stable unless exposed to sulfur fumes.

The use of this term is spread through the practice of the emblem, in which "blue" represents the blue in the tincture system. In engraving, it is represented as a parallel horizontal line region, or with the abbreviation az. or b. In practice, blue has been represented by a number of shades of blue. In subsequent heraldic practices, a bright blue color, called bleu celeste ("blue sky"), is sometimes determined.
