Boy playing the army is a carousel cartoon by Francisco of Goya who was conceived for the Prince Asturias bedroom at the Royal Palace of El Pardo.
Currently on display at the Museo del Prado. Sketches of artwork are preserved today at the Yanduri Collection of Seville.

Description
Two boys with legs carrying rifles, while one is playing a drum and the latter holding a mini bell tower. The lower perspective of the image increases the presence of characters standing above the hike.
This composition has a martial character, funny and childish. Up close, a cheerful little soldier looks at the audience in what has been considered one of the great achievements achieved by the artist. Goya often portrays children of various social types, such as majos , aristocrats, and others.
It may hang over the door. Similar images that adorn the royal chamber are reserved for young people such as NiÃÆ' Â ± os del carretÃÆ'³n, Muchachos cogiendo fruta or NiÃÆ' Â ± os inflando una vejiga . These paintings show the same color range as the paintings of El Cacharrero, both of which adorn the same wall.
The yellowish and bluish color of the work provides a cheerful atmosphere, which is increasingly emphasized by men's faces. Brush strokes and illuminations make this work a pioneer of Impressionism, like other Goya photos.
The craftsman undertook a series of changes in the composition to suit his tastes that prevailed during that period.
