Annie Sloan (born June 19, 1949) is an English artist, color expert and writer. After studying the Pure Arts at the university in 1970, Annie Sloan went on to write several books on traditional paint and decorative painting techniques, beginning with the Decorative Cat Writing Complete Book in 1988. She developed her own line. paint decorative "Chalk Paint" in 1990.

Careers
After seven years of studying Art in England, Annie Sloan turned her attention to decorative painting. Her first book, Complete Book of Decorative Cat Techniques , was co-written with Kate Gwynn and published in 1988. The success of this book launched her career as a decorative painter and brought opportunities to teach. international decorative painting techniques.
Annie Sloan then developed her own paint brand "Chalk Paint" in 1990. Initially the paint was made in Belgium.
He opened his first store in Headington, Oxford, in 2000, a base where he could sell his paint, as well as painted fabrics and furniture.
His book "Color Recipes for Painted Furniture and More" was published by CICO Books in 2013. This was followed by "Room Recipes for Style and Color" in 2014.
In 2015, Annie Sloan introduces a second paint brand, called "Wall Paint", in Europe. His business is based in Oxford, England, which he runs with her husband, David.
In 2017, Annie Sloan partnered with Oxfam to create a new color called Lem Lem, inspired by Oxfam Ethiopia Seed Project.
