The Evolution Of Visual Effects - YouTube

Visual Effects (abbreviated VFX ) is a process in which imagery is created or manipulated outside the context of direct action taking in filmmaking.

Visual effects involve the integration of live-action recordings and the resulting image (digital effects) to create a realistic, but dangerous, expensive, impractical, time-consuming or impossible environment to take on film. Visual effects using computer-generated imagery (CGI) have recently become accessible to independent filmmakers with easy-to-use animated and compositing software.

Time

Visual effects are often an integral part of film and attraction. Although most visual effects are successfully completed during postproduction, it should normally be carefully planned and choreographed in pre-production and production. Visual effects are primarily executed in post-production with the use of various tools and technologies such as graphic design, modeling, animation, and similar software, while special effects such as explosions and car chases are performed on sets. A visual effects inspector usually engages with production from an early stage to collaborate with the production and design of the film director, guiding and leading the team necessary to achieve the desired effect.

The main visual effects fall into two groups:

  1. Special Effects: This includes all visual effects that occur in direct action, e.g. on explosive sets or action shows.
  2. Digital effects (usually abbreviated to digital FX or FX ): This includes the various processes in which an image is created or manipulated with or from a photographic asset. Digital effects often involve the integration of silent photography and computer-generated imagery (CGI) to create an environment that looks realistic but will be dangerous, expensive, or impossible to capture in the camera. FX is usually associated with a still photography world that contrasts with the visual effects associated with motion film production. FX Digital also divides into various professional subgroups such as:
  • Still pictures and drawings: digital or traditional paintings or photos that serve as backdrops for 3D characters, particle effects, digital circuits, backgrounds.
  • Motion Capture (Mo-Cap for short): This is the process of recording the movement of objects and/or people. In a motion capture session, subjects whose motion is captured are recorded and sampled multiple times per second by various scanners placed throughout the environment. There are different types of systems that read actor movements. One is the optical method using a tracking camera that locks to a special marker placed above the actor's motion capture suit. Another type of method is called a non-optical method where instead of taking the location of a marker in space, it records and measures inertial and mechanical movements in the area. This type of motion capture not only applies to the body, but can be used to track facial movements and actor expressions and transfer them to 3d models later in the pipeline. The same type of concept uses markers to track movement used, but more often than not, the actor's face will paint dots on their faces rather than ball-shaped markers. Not only is the actors' movement recorded in this process, but camera movement is also recorded, allowing editors to use this data to improve the environment defined in the shooting circuit. After all this was captured, the movement was arrested. data mapped to virtual frameworks using software such as MotionBuilder or other preferred software from Autodesk.
  • Modeling: Creating 3D models of props or characters using special software.
  • Animation: Set motion for any object and character in 2D â € <â €
  • Compositing: Combine visual elements from multiple sources to create the illusion that all these elements are part of the same scene.
